Simply, if u and v are two differentiable functions of x, then the differential of uv is given by:
This can also be written, using 'prime notation' as :
Example #1 Differentiate (x2+1)3(x3+1)2
Example #2 Differentiate y = (x2 - 4)(x + 3)2
